Rich Woldt began teaching "Credit Union Risk Management" while working on his BBA in Risk Management and Insurance at the University of Wisconsin, in Madison, Wisconsin which is also the headquarters for CUNA and Affiliates and the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU). Rich... after graduating in 1968 he served an extended tour in Viet Nam until 71' before joined the Risk Management Department of CUNA Inc. From '71 until '77 Rich organized credit unions and conducted Risk Management workshops for credit unions, chapters, leagues, CUNA Management Schools in the US, and for the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) and CUNA Mutual Group outside the USA. In 1977 Rich accepted a Senior Risk Management position with CUNA Mutual Group (CMG) and moved to New York where he managed Risk Management projects for CMG's fidelity bonding company. In '80 he returned to the world headquarters in Wisconsin and launched an International Risk Management projects focused on establishing internationally Risk Management performance standards for the world credit union movement.
After 30 years teaching Risk Management to the world credit union movement, Rich retired on June 30, 2001 and formed "Risk Management 007 LLC," the parent company of his "Risk Management Learning Center." Since retiring, Rich has become a licensed Private Detective, ran for Sheriff in Door County, Wisconsin, is on MPI Protective's Advisory Board, has been chairman of his ASIS International Chapter 067, was Chaplain and has served two terms as Commander of his VFW Post 8337. In his spare time Rich volunteers his services to his local Chamber of Commerce and Egg Harbor Businesses Association. Rich is an active member of the National Chiefs of Police Association, Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association, Wisconsin County Sheriffs Association, and The Southeaster Wisconsin Homeland Security Partnership.
